Anastasija iš Ukrainos

Anastasia buvo girdėjusi daug gerų atsiliepimų apie Europos solidarumo korpuso programą. Pastaraisiais metais ji norėjo įgyti gyvenimo užsienyje patirties, todėl palikusi savo namus Kijeve prisijungė prie Matulaičio centro.

Jos savanorystė vyksta dienos centre „Vaikai vaikams“, kuris yra skirtas 7-12 metų vaikams. Tai tiesiog yra puiki užduotis Nastiai, nes darbas su vaikais jai teikia daug džiaugsmo. Vaikai, lankantys šią grupę po mokyklos, čia praleidžia popietę, jie ruošia savo pamokas, papietauja ir, aišku, kartu praleidžia savo laisvą laiką. Yra daug veiklų, kurias galima rinktis – žaidimai, tapyba, šokiai, origami ir kt. Jeigu yra geras oras, jie dažniausiai išeina laukan, nes prie pastato esantis kiemas ir parkas yra atviri vaikams, turint daug skirtingų pagundų ir galimybių pasilinksminti. Dienos gale jie susiburia refleksijai, kurioje ratu pasidalina pozityviais ir negatyviais savo dienos momentais, kad visi suprastų, kas turi likti taip pat ir kas turi keistis. Pagrindinis tikslas yra parodyti vaikams, kaip reikia užmegzti ir išsaugoti draugystę, kaip gyvenime suvaldomos skirtingos situacijos, taip pat ugdyti supratimą, kad kiekvienas yra vertingas. Nastia stengiasi iš visų jėgų sukurti geriausias sąlygas vaikams ir išgauti visą šių grupių potencialą.

Kartu su daugybe nepamirštamų akimirkų iš gausybės kelionių aplink Lietuvą ir užsienį, svarbiausia Anastasios patirtis yra tai, ką ji gavo (ir vis dar gauna), dirbdama su vaikais. Po daugiau nei pusės metų, praleistų Lietuvoje, ji teigia, kad atvykimas čia yra vienas iš geriausių sprendimų jos gyvenime. Ji sako: „svarbiausias jausmas, kurį gaunu savo kasdieniame gyvenime šioje šalyje, yra tai, kad aš darau, ką mėgstu, o ne tai, ką privalau“.

Anastasia heard a lot good of the European Solidarity Corps program previously and as for years now, she wanted to experience how it is to live abroad, she decided to leave her home, Kyiv, and join Matulaitis.

 Her volunteering takes place in Vaikai Vaikams, the Day Care Center for kids aged 7-12.

This is just a perfect assignment for Nastia, as working with kids is really what brings her a lot of pleasure. The kids visiting this group spend their afternoons here after school, they do their homework, they have lunch and of course, they also spend their free time together. There are a lot of activities they can choose from – games, painting, dancing, origami, etc. If the weather is fine, they usually go outside as both the yard of the kindergarten and the park next to the building is open for them with plenty of different temptations and possibilities to have fun. At the end of the day, they have a circle of reflection, where they share with each other the positive and negative elements of the day so that everyone could understand what should remain the same and what should be changed. The main purpose is to show children how to build friendships, how to handle different situations in their lives and to give them an understanding that each of them is worth a lot. Nastia is giving her best to create the best conditions for the children to get everything from these potentials of the group. 

 Next to the many unforgettable moments from numerous trips around Lithuania and abroad, the most important experience for Nastia is that how much she has gotten (and keep getting) from working with the kids. After more than half of a year already spent in Lithuania she claims coming here was one of the best decisions in her life. ’The most important feeling I get in this country in my everyday life is that I do what I love, and not what I have to.’ – she says.
